Why governments should adopt DTCs
SITA has a vision where outdated paper-based processes are replaced by modern digital processes that include strong identity assurance; and where passengers can travel from anywhere to anywhere using just their digital identity.
A DTC is simply a digital representation of a person’s identity, typically derived from a physical identity document such as a passport. But the real challenge lies in understanding how to trust the authenticity of the digital data in the same way we trust the authenticity of the physical document.
