Passenger Processing | SITA

Overview

SITA’s Passenger Processing is an integrated set of components that completely automate all elements of passenger processing at the airport – from the passenger processing platform to self-service, passenger processing, passenger flow monitoring and business intelligence applications.

Self-service

From check-in to boarding, SITA’s self-service solutions are used by airlines around the world. One key reason is cost-effectiveness: our kiosk infrastructure saves airlines an average of US$ 2.50 per check-in.

Passenger processing

SITA’s passenger processing applications are used by more than 165 airlines globally and our common-use systems board more than 100 million passengers per year.

Passenger flow monitoring

SITA’s common-use platform is the only one in the industry capable of integrating built-in passenger tracing and flow monitoring with a security checkpoint. Our applications offer the most complete view of passenger flow through the airport.

How it helps

Facilitate passenger flow

Passenger processing enables three business imperatives:

  • Maximizes aeronautical and non-aeronautical revenues
  • Enhances the passenger experience
  • Delivers operational efficiency

Passenger processing benefits airports with improved efficiency, increased passenger throughput and reduced costs.

Why us?

SITA’s Passenger Processing offers the most complete set of passenger processing and tracking capabilities available from one supplier in the industry. We are the only provider capable of integrating a full suite of passenger tracing capabilities to its common-use platform.

SITA is the only provider that can integrate agent and self-service applications on a single platform. We are at the forefront of the air transport industry (ATI) in deployment and management of common-use workstations and common-use self-service (CUSS) kiosks at airports worldwide. And we are the only provider that adds business intelligence capability to provide a more complete view of passenger flow through the airport.

SITA Global Services (SGS)

Passenger Processing is supported by SITA Global Services (SGS), which provides you with global business continuity through a flexible service model. Our monitoring service ensures your IT systems are reliable and available, around the clock, around the world.

Our experts proactively monitor your infrastructure, identifying and resolving problems often before they impact your services.

Resources

Common-use in the cloud

Beyond common-use desktop (CUTE/CUPPS), there are many more common-use self-service functions that can be deployed in cloud infrastructure, including kiosks (CUSS), self-service bag-drop and self-boarding gates.
