Camilo Cardenas is a seasoned telecommunications engineer with a master’s degree and extensive experience in government-focused business development across the Americas. Since joining SITA in 2020, Camilo Cardenas has led initiatives in border management, biometric solutions, and travel facilitation technologies, with a particular emphasis on Latin America.
He is recognized for his consultative approach and commitment to continuous improvement, promoting the effective use of advanced passenger information, risk management, and digital identity solutions. His work involves close collaboration with various governments to deploy national security programs and innovative travel technologies.
Camilo currently serves as Business Development Director within SITA’s Customer Growth department, operating out of the Bogota office. He is actively involved in strategic events such as ICAO TRIP 2025 and Identity Week AME, where he has been nominated as a speaker and contributor to thought leadership initiatives.
