Executive statement
David Lavorel, CEO
All through 2023 we were working hard on our Environmental, Social, and Governance strategy to help make our industry and our company work better for everyone. We made progress on the carbon footprint, local impact, diversity and inclusion, business ethics, transparency, energy efficiency, and so much more.
So what does that mean in practice? Our latest Sustainability report has all the details and here are some of my top highlights:
- The SBTi validated our commitment to reaching net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across the value chain and our own operations by 2050.
- We successfully completed an audit of our carbon footprint calculations for scopes 1, 2, and 3.
- We decreased our total direct emissions (scope 1 and 2) by 72%, showing just how strongly we’re committed to reducing the carbon footprint.
- We expanded our offering of sustainable products, helping to decarbonize the planet.
- We hit 85% for overall Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion (DEI) on our annual employee survey.
- We kept up our focus on philanthropy in India and South Africa through donations, volunteering, and other initiatives.
One of our top priorities now is to help aviation reach carbon net-zero. That’s why I’m so proud the SBTi validated our commitment to reaching net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across our own operations and the value chain by 2050.
