René Fourel was appointed Chief Technology Officer for SITA in April 2022.
René is in charge of driving the technology strategy and architecture direction of SITA and executing on the technology transformation plan.
Prior to this appointment, he served as Vice President, Programs and Portfolio Lifecycle, after having previously been in charge of multiple lines of business, including Messaging and Industry Data Exchange, Cloud and End-User Computing, and Communication services. René has more than 30 years of experience in the IT and telecommunications industry. He has spent most of his professional career with SITA.
René holds a Masters of Business Administration from Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Paris, and a Master of Science in Engineering and Telecommunications from Télécom ParisTech. He is based in Geneva.
