Is operational messaging critical to your business?
SITATEX provides operational messaging for the air transport industry, allowing more than 20,000 users to exchange more than 100 million messages every year.
Overview
SITATEX is a client-based software application that generates and receives Type B messages – the standard format for messaging in the air transport industry (ATI).
Messages and documents can be communicated via the Internet, IP networks and dial connections. These tasks are accomplished through a simple-to-use interface designed for the ATI operational messaging environment.
SITATEX:
- Is easy to learn – simplified user interface
- Uses Internet protocol (IP)
- Generates and receives Type B messages
- Is globally available and supported
- Is highly secure and reliable
- Is cost effective – implementation is quick and easy
- Is easy to upgrade from previous SITATEX versions
SITATEX comes in two versions:

- Connect using Internet, IP, or Point-to-Point Protocol (PPP) dial for low-traffic volumes where there is no existing SITA managed router
Multi-user
- Same user interface as single user
- Ideal for many SITATEX workstations in a Local Area Network (LAN)
- Ideal for aviation operational messaging
- Allows exchange of local messaging traffic with in the LAN via multi-user LAN gateway
- Cost savings as local traffic does not need to pass via SITATEX servers
- Allows sharing of group addresses and mailboxes
- Reliable transmission of data via the fully redundant SITA managed IP network
- Simple to use graphical user interface (GUI) designed for ATI operational environments
- Increased geographic network reach based on IP and Internet technology
