IP VPN at Airports
Deliver IP connections in airports from the Airport Hubs shared infrastructure
SITA’s Airport Hubs increase the resiliency of airport connections and reduce communication costs. At airports equipped with SITA Airport Hubs, the IP VPN at Airports service provides guaranteed bandwidth and classes of services to access their MPLS VPN.
IP VPN at Airports is available to all SITA customers in airports with existing or new IP connections, eg: airlines, airport authorities, aircraft maintenance, ground handlers, airports, and airline service providers.
Overview
SITA’s communication services are usually delivered in airports using multiple, dedicated resources (routers, ageing legacy platforms, per service circuits). For most services, any shared infrastructure stops at the SITA centre or PoP. SITA is, uniquely, providing airport environments where many airlines are “sharing” common facilities. This offers an opportunity for cost savings and service improvements.
Benefits
