AirportCentral
Helping airports simplify a complex environment and improve their operational processes
Managing airport operations is complex. Modern airports can have numerous independent information systems in place, each managed by a different entity – often resulting in inconsistencies in the data being processed.
AirportCentral, with its centralized database, provides accurate, real-time information from a consolidated source.
Overview
AirportCentral maintains:
- Seasonal schedules and long-term data used for strategic and tactical planning
- Short-term data view used for detailed resource planning and staff rostering for day of operations
- Real-time Data view to track all movements and distribute information to other airport systems
- Post-operations data processed to complete load information and verified for completeness before calculating charges and producing management reports
- Historical data for statistical and other analysis and to provide input, such as trends, to the planning process
Benefits
SITA AirportCentral provides the following benefits:
- Improves airport management
- Optimizes revenue
- Leads to greater customer satisfaction
Features
AirportCentral includes the following features:
- An open systems platform that maximizes the capability for interaction with users and other systems in the most cost-effective way
- Proactive planning through consistent and accurate distribution of high-quality business intelligence
- Optimized use of infrastructure through effective data sharing, enabling better co-ordination of all operations processes

- Post-operations processing to ensure that accurate operations data is available for processing charges and generating revenue reports
- Accurate real-time information, which enables management and stakeholders to respond immediately and consistently to unplanned events
Modules
AirportCentral is available to airports worldwide and can be used either standalone or as a fully integrated component of SITA’s Airport Management Solutions, which include AirportPassenger Communication, Resource Management System and AirportBusiness Manager.
AirportCentral consists of three modules: Airport Operational Database (AODB), Management Information System (MIS) and the generic Billing module. Although the MIS and the Billing modules are optional, AirportCentral cannot function without AODB.

Airport Operational Database (AODB)
AODB is the core of the solution and the central repository where all operational information is managed and made available to other systems for further processing. Aircraft movement information for the airport is recorded through automated interfaces or by manual capturing via tracking screens with user-friendly graphical interfaces.
Management Information System
The MIS consists of the Airport Management Database (AMDB) and Business Objects (BO) and enables users to create their own reports without being dependant on programming.
Billing module
Users can define billing rules for calculating aeronautical services rendered with this user-friendly module.
