Aims and objectives
SITA Lab is SITA's strategic technology research arm. It's task is to stimulate technological innovation in the ATI and bring emerging technologies into SITA's portfolio.
SITA Lab works both independently and in partnership with airlines, airports and emerging technology vendors. Put simply, it takes all the strengths of SITA - the world's leading specialist in air transport communications and IT solutions - and builds on them.
Key areas of focus
SITA Lab identifies and evaluates how emerging technologies can be applied to ease ATI pain-points and provide new opportunities.
SITA Lab is currently researching technology in the following areas:
- Passenger mobility
- Geo-localization of passengers and location-based services
- Near field communications
- Cloud computing
- Predictive analytics
- Grid technologies
