IP Fax

Secure document delivery over IP applications

The air transport industry (ATI) relies on message exchanges between thousands of organizations every day. Type B messaging is the primary platform but using a fax machine to send Type B messages can be problematic.

SITA’s IP Fax allows you to exchange messages from Type B or simple mail transfer protocol (SMTP) to a fax machine, as well as fax back to Type B and SMTP.

How it works

IP Fax converts messages to the appropriate format for both incoming and outgoing message exchanges.

IP Fax is designed for all organizations across the airline, airport, travel distribution and government sectors that need to send and receive messages from operational messaging environments.

  • Mail exchanges from Type B and SMTP environments to fax machines
  • Multiple address types allow a single message to be sent to a fax machine, as well as to other Type B or SMTP recipients
  • Transparent mapping and conversion between Type B and SMTP to a fax machine
  • Delivery / non-delivery notifications
  • Up to 250 recipients per batch
  • Customizable cover page

Your benefits

IP Fax provides the following benefits.

  • Reduced paper supply expenses
  • Improved productivity
  • Reduced training costs
  • Improved customer service
