Airport iValidate

Bar-coded boarding pass validation

Overview

Security agents require the most flexible and up-to-date technology to do their job efficiently. Managing the balance between continuous passenger flow and stringent security measures is a delicate process.

SITA’s Airport iValidate empowers security agents to verify passengers’ bar-coded boarding passes (BCBPs) quickly and efficiently, providing a better passenger experience.

How it works

Airport iValidate focuses on BCBP validation, including duplicate checking, validation against flight information within the airport operational database (AODB) / flight information display system (FIDS), and validation against airline departure control systems (DCS).

At security checkpoints, iValidate supports a range of devices – from officer manned workstations to handheld terminals (HHTs) and automated self-service gates.
