Dawen Choy is Group Senior Vice President for Transformation & Enterprise Development (TED) at Changi Airport Group.
Formed to ensure that the airport remains a top performing organization, TED aims to transform airport operations with new technologies, partnerships and business models; grow new lines of business; and deliver a lean cost base, even as Changi Airport doubles in size.
Dawen joined Changi Airport Group as Vice President of Corporate Strategy and Business Development (CSBD), addressing flight congestion during the period 2011-2014, when rapid traffic growth had outpaced the airport’s ability to cope. CSBD proposed activation of the Changi East plans – a long-term development programme to double airport capacity. The project was initiated in 2012, with Dawen heading up the project’s Programme Management Office.
Prior to Changi Airport Group, Dawen was Director of Corporate Development at SingTel. He began his career in the Republic of Singapore Air Force as a fighter aircraft controller, culminating as Head of the Air Warfare & Technology Office, responsible for the RSAF’s long-term organizational strategies and technology development.
Dawen graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 2000 with degrees in Physics, Economics and Political Science. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
