Aviation Cybersecurity Symposium

The Aviation Cybersecurity Symposium is an ‘invitation only’ event from SITA.

Can today's cyber threats predict future risks? Who are the key players and what are their aims? How will the challenges faced by those in the IT and aviation industries change as the threat landscape and actors evolve? What is the role of threat intelligence providers, and are they capable of meeting increasingly sophisticated attacks? Where are the gaps and what needs to be done to address them?

This two-day event will build on the approach to address the cybersecurity challenges that the air transport industry faces, including through the sharing of cyber threat intelligence. It will highlight some of the most challenging and pertinent topics that face those working in aviation and information security, bringing insights from speakers from specialized security firms, security researchers and the public sector that includes:

  • Welcome to SITA's Aviation Cybersecurity Symposium - Ian Riddell, SITA
  • Aviation Cybersecurity - a SITA perspective - Philippe-Emmanuel Maulion, Head of Security, SITA
  • Cyber Threat Intelligence Through the Eyes of the CPNI -  Centre of Protection of National Infrastructure (CPNI)
  • Cyber Threat Intelligence, What are the Biggest Cyber Threats and How Can Cyber Intelligence Help Prevent these? - Yogi Chadiramani, FireEye

The Symposium participants will:

  • Have the opportunity to meet and network with peers and colleagues in a private environment
  • Consider the latest trends and threats in aviation cyber security
  • Gain insight from governments, airports, legislative experts and others
  • Be an active contributor to roundtable discussions and influence the emergence of community based responses including through the creation of shared cyber threat intelligence for aviation
