SITA’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives have gained industry recognition in recent months. SITA’s Air Transport Community Foundation won a silver award within the CSR category at the Corporate Engagement Awards.
This global program has grown to be the benchmark for collaborations that have excelled and pushed boundaries. The awards focus on three key areas – CSR programs, corporate sponsorships and the communication strategies around those collaborations.
The SITA Air Transport Community Foundation was also shortlisted for the Community Impact Award, at the Global Responsible Business Awards. This recognizes projects or initiatives that have best demonstrated measurable impact and investment in communities through deploying technology or innovation.

The purpose of SITA Air Transport Community Foundation is to provide education and ICT to the next generations of young people in Africa. It’s underpinned by adoption of the United Nations Global Goals for Sustainable Development of Quality Education & Gender Equality. In the past five years the Foundation has positively impacted more than 83,000 children across five African countries.
