Recognizing members

In 2016, we’ll be presenting over 50 awards to members for milestone anniversaries.

We have seen a number of member anniversaries. Each year, we celebrate those member anniversaries that are milestones. During 2016, we’ll be presenting over 50 awards to members.

In particular, we have four members marking 60 years of SITA members – Air Serbia, Middle East Airlines, Pakistan International Airlines and Qantas.

In recognition, they’ll be invited to a special ceremony, along with four members celebrating 50 years of membership, the Gala Dinner in May, at  SITA’s Annual General Assembly and Air Transport IT Summit.

Copa Columbia and Avianca receive membership recognition

SITA presented two of South America's largest airlines - Copa Columbia and Avianca - with membership awards at the ALTA Airline Leaders forum in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

EUROCONTROL marks 25 years of SITA membership

Receiving a membership anniversary award for 25 years in 2015 was EUROCONTROL, the European Organization for the Safety of Air Navigation. The award was presented to Director General, Frank Brenner.


In acknowledging the award, Brenner commented, “I am happy that EUROCONTROL could, over the last 25 years, successfully contribute to the work done by SITA in developing and implementing high-end IT solutions at a global level. With its work, SITA is contributing to the continuously ongoing technical evolution that helps the European aviation industry to operate smoothly and efficiently.”
