Angel Marcos, graduated from the Aeronautical School of Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM) as an Aeronautical Engineer. He specialized in Airports & Navigation and Air Transport. He has completed a Masters in Business Management (PADE) from the IESE Business School of the University of Navarra. He also holds a PhD in Engineering and Transport Infrastructure from the School of Civil Engineering (ETSICC), of the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM).
Professionally, he held various positions in the handling company Flightcare (1999-2010), until he reached the General Management of the same company (2010-2012) with more than 4500 employees in Spain, Belgium and Italy.
Since 2013, has been holding the post of Chief Airport Services Officer, for Iberia L.A.E. S.A. and a member of the company's Steering Committee. He is responsible for 29 Spanish airports, where the company provides handling services with more than 350,000 annual flights and provides assistance to more than 97 million passengers with a workforce of more than 8,000 employees.
He has taught courses as Professor of Ground Operations Management in the Master of Aeronautical Management program of the Autonomous University of Madrid and in the Master of Aeronautical Management program of the Autonomous University of Barcelona, among others. He has been a speaker at different forums and conferences related to airports and operations in airport services.
