Mike Warren joined Airborne Wireless Network as the Chief Executive Officer this year.
Mike has an extensive background in project management both in the civilian sector and the governmental sector. He recently served as the Regional Operations and Security Director for ECC International in Afghanistan. In this capacity, he has overseen the security and operations of 18 Major DOD Construction Projects, and the northern portion of the ring road in Afghanistan under the Asia Development Bank, all projects totaling $1,500,000,000. Prior to that he was the Program Manager for the Human Terrain Systems under the International Security Assistance Force for NATO and the US Army G-2. He has been an advisor to the US Embassy, to COMISAF and CJ2X at HQs ISAF in Kabul, Afghanistan.
Regarded as one of the senior subject matter experts on security operations, coordination, and management, he has over 14 years of boots-on-the-ground, outside-the-wire experience in Afghanistan in both the private and government sectors.
Mike completed his 20-year U. S. Marine Corps officer career in 1994. An infantry officer, his assignments included serving as the Executive Officer, 23rd Marine Regiment, San Rafael, CA; as Executive Officer, 3rd Surveillance & Reconnaissance Group in Okinawa; as Commanding Officer of the largest Marine Security Barracks at Naval Weapons Station, Concord, CA.
A native of Missouri, he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from the University of Missouri. Mike is also a graduate of the US Marine Corps Command and Staff College, the Amphibious Warfare School and the Infantry Officers Course.
In his civilian career Mike has served with numerous companies in the computer hardware and software industry and has been instrumental in these companies’ growth and expansion. Mike was director of sales for CCI/TRIAD and for Think 3 software.
