Overview

SITA e-Commerce is a complete booking system for airline websites. It is global distribution system (GDS) neutral and ensures the airline retains control of its direct distribution channels.

e-Commerce caters to all airlines regardless of size or type. From large flag carriers to small regional ones to low-cost carriers, e-Commerce has a rich set of features and capabilities that support each airline’s strategy. It is particularly suitable for airlines who want to expand their online offering to include the sale of optional services and ancillary air-related products.

e-Commerce offers a wide variety of features. From basic personalization by using multiple languages, currencies and user profile data, to full personalization of offers based on real-time analysis of user behavior, historical booking data and profile data.

e-Commerce is fully  integrated with our Horizon® Passenger Services System (PSS) portfolio which includes the core SITA Reservations, Ticketing and Airfare Price services to ensure that bookings are made directly using the airline’s inventory and fares.

SITA is not a GDS, nor are we aligned with a GDS. This means that you retain complete control over your direct distribution channels.

SITA e-Commerce has a large number of payment options. The variety of payment service providers (PSP) already integrated into e-Commerce makes it unique – but if one of the pre-integrated PSPs is not suitable, we can integrate your preferred PSP as part of the implementation process. SITA does not dictate which payment providers you use.

e-Commerce is customizable to meet your unique business needs. As standard, it is able to use your corporate logos and color schemes to match your own website. Almost limitless customization is available on top of this. SITA firmly believes that your online booking engine technology should adapt to your business – not the other way around.
