Senior Vice President, SITA Global Services

Rob Watkins was appointed Senior Vice President, SITA Global Services, the company’s global customer service organization, in March 2012.

He is responsible for driving SITA’s Service Excellence initiative to enhance the customer experience, as well as managing a customer service team of more than 2,000 dedicated aviation IT specialists and engineers located across 140 countries.

Rob  also oversees two global command centers, which monitor and maintain applications and networks and resolve incidents 24 hours a day, and SITA data centers, which store core business and operational data for the entire industry.

Before assuming his current position, Rob was Regional Vice President, Sales and Relationship Management, Northern Europe and Sub Sahara Africa, SITA. Rob joined the company with more than 22 years of experience in the IT and communications industry. Previously, he was Sales Director for the Transport and Infrastructure unit at Logica. He also spent 11 years with BT, where he oversaw the travel and leisure sector.

Rob graduated with distinction with a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from the University of Birmingham, UK.

He is based in London, United Kingdom.
