SITATEX is a client-based software application that generates and receives Type B messages – the standard format for messaging in the aviation industry. It provides critical operational communications for the world’s airlines, ground handlers, GDS, airfreight and aerospace companies.
The SITATEX Development Kit (SDK) is a message daemon that allows the customer application to interface with SITATEX, automating the sending and receiving of application-readable messages in Type B format.
This kit enables customers’ software developers to link their own, in-house applications to SITATEX. The SITATEX service allows messages and documents to be communicated via the Internet, IP networks and dial connections.
Overview
The Software Developer’s Kit Message Daemon program runs in the background, and provides an interface between SITATEX message queues and a user-developed messaging application. It uses a simple file exchange mechanism and the SITATEX SDK facilities.
Message Daemon can be run on the same PC as the messaging application or on separate PCs connected to a LAN file server (provided that the two PCs can share a folder on the file server).
With SITATEX, messages and documents can be communicated via the Internet, IP networks and dial connections. These tasks are accomplished through an easy-to-use interface designed for the ATI operational messaging environment.
SITATEX is a mail client that generates and receives Type B messages, the air transport industry’s standard for operational messaging.
