SITA Reservation Data provides airline customers with access to comprehensive data of their SITA hosted operational activities through a variety of flexible and cost efficient extraction options. 

Overview

Passenger services customers require access to their online operational data for further evaluation, analysis data mining and data warehousing, using their in-house tools and/or back office systems. This capability must:

  • Provide up-to-date and relevant data
  • Be flexible and cost efficient
  • Provide options based on customer requirements
  • Be easy to understand and use

Airline customers subscribing to SITA online application services can request extractions and download their operational data from the SITA host to their in-house data warehouse or data base. Information gathered by Reservations Data is customizable and can be stored locally for further data mining and analysis or simply for historic reference and comparisons.

Reservations Data options

PNR / INV / TKT Product option 

  • Captures and extracts operational data − passenger name records (PNR), inventory, paper and e-ticket ticketing images (TKT)
  • Transfers the information to customer for in-house analysis and reporting tools
  • Provides FTP download of data
  • Extracted data stored up to 14 days

Departure Control Services option

  • Captures and extracts SITA Departure Control data from DCS messages for each flight
  • Transfers the information to the customer for their own in-house analysis and reporting tools
  • Stores extracted data for up to 14 days

Booking Information Data (BID) product

  • Captures and extracts global distribution systems (GDS) bookings and cancellations
  • Transfers information to customer for their in-house analysis and reporting
  • Provides FTP download or mailing of CD
  • Archives Reservations BID tapes for up to 62 days

Reservations Market Analysis Data (GMAD)

  • Captures and extracts past date PNRs and transfers the information to the customer for in-house analysis and reporting
  • Creates one record for each PNR
  • Extracts up to eight PNR elements specified by customer parameters
  • Provides FTP download or CD mail
  • Extracts past-date PNR files for up to 120 days

Frequent Traveller Analysis Data (FQTV)

  • Captures and extracts past date PNRs, with passenger's frequent flyer (FFR) number in the PNR, then transfers the information to the Reservations customer for in-house frequent flyer analysis and reporting

Frequent Flyer Analysis

  • Creates one record for each PNR
  • Extracts up to eight PNR elements
  • Provides File FTP download or CD via mail
  • Extracts past-date PNR files for up to 120 days

Customer Profiles Data

  • Allows Reservations customers, with third party frequent flyer (FFR) systems, to create, update and store frequent flyer/customer profiles on the SITA open system
  • Enables the host airline to modify the FFR database are done at the host airline. FFR data uploaded to SITA is online, read-only access by the airline's agents
  • Refreshes airline's FFR database via FTP daily transfer of data from the host airline to SITA
  • Provides SITA reservation agents online access and display of customer profiles for PNR creation/addition
