Managed Security Appliance

Smarter network protection, provided by security devices with adaptive intelligence

The Managed Security Appliance (MSA) service offers cost-effective, integrated and professionally managed security services to keep your business safe.

Overview

The growth of business online, and increasing online collaboration between business partners, enables more effective processes and eases the problems of diverse geographical locations. The benefits of electronic information exchange − access to the Internet, e-mails, customer portals and collaboration with other organizations − are too crucial to ignore.

However, this increased need to move data and extend access to applications beyond private networks can bring commercial and legal risks if security provisioning is inadequate.

Based upon the types and numbers of equipment installed at your site, the MSA service can offer:

  • A comprehensive, end-to-end managed security solution providing hardware, software, licensing, maintenance and proactive day-to-day security incident support.
  • Or, management of your devices, including day-to-day operational support, allowing you to retain responsibility for all hardware, software, licensing and maintenance.

SITA can and will implement the security controls you require, and respond to threats in the way that you specify.

Features

Flexible, scalable, up-to-date

The Bronze, Silver and Gold levels of MSA service can meet the needs of any size or type of organization.

Provided on an extensive range of hardware and software platforms, the service includes inspection firewalls, intrusion protection and detection devices, multi-function devices, unified threat management devices, IPSec VPN capabilities, antivirus, malcode, worm protection and web filtering. Additional options are available to extend the functionality of less sophisticated security appliances.

Single point of contact

SITA provides the service in partnership with managed protection service providers Internet Security Systems (ISS – now a unit of IBM), and Cantono (for SonicWall only). Your SITA account team remains your single point of contact for supply.

You will have access to a specifically designed web portal, which:

  • Provides a single point of contact for all configuration and reporting
  • Enables you to see both pre-defined and on-demand reports in real-time, your applied security policy settings and the overall health of your security platforms
  • Is the main entry point for you to request changes to security policies and rules
