Overview
e-Aircraft AirportLink WiFi is a service designed to address the IP broadband communication needs of new generation aircraft. This service provides wireless data communications to aircraft based on the industry standard IEEE802.11 protocol. From the aircraft, the service offers private and secure IP connectivity to customers' Electronic Flight Bags (EFB) and back-office systems such as flight operations, engineering, and administration systems via the wireless infrastructure provided by the airport. This WiFi link can be used to exchange information with both cabin and cockpit IT systems and replaces the need for the manual upload and download of information.
