AirportSurveillance

Providing North American airports with an end-to-end IP video surveillance service to greatly increase visibility and awareness of the airport campus

AirportSurveillance, SITA's end-to-end IP based video management solution, combines Genetec's best-in-class IP security expertise with SITA's infrastructure integration and sector know-how.

Overview

Security remains a top priority for airports, and Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) has been a major planned expenditure for North American airports in recent years.

As a supplier and integrator of network and shared IT infrastructure solutions, SITA is offering a managed IP video surveillance solution for North American airports looking to:

  • Migrate or expand from existing analog video systems to IP video management solutions
  • Consolidate disparate CCTV systems into one unified IP system

With SITA's AirportSurveillance, airports will be able to record, store, and play back digital video, audio, and data across any IP network, while still having the flexibility to leverage past investments in legacy infrastructure.

Benefits

Available to all airports in North America, SITA's AirportSurveillance benefits include:

  • Ability to tailor the system to your airport's needs using an open and distributed architecture
  • Scalable architecture with flexibility to grow your system one camera at a time, from a single PC (Personal Computer) to hundreds of PCs distributed over several different LANs (Local Area Networks)
  • System reliability due to a failover mechanism protecting the server applications
  • Protection against video tampering, unauthorized access, and interception or distortion of video & audio through multiple security features
  • User-friendly interface requiring a minimum amount of training, customizable to the user needs and preferences

Features

SITA's AiportSurveillance includes the following features.

Unified security platform consolidates Omnicast with Synergis™ access control and AutoVu™ license plate recognition systems for centralized core functions and lower total cost of ownership.

Federation™ extends the scalability of the system by unifying multiple independent Omnicast systems under a single virtual system.

Live viewer maps simplify the search for cameras in large systems.

Remote live viewer controls the display of other live viewer applications running on remote workstations anywhere on the network and is ideal for controlling a very large number of monitors, such as video walls, from a single workstation.

Automatic stream selection optimizes CPU usage and maximizes simultaneous viewing of live video streams. It also automates decision as to which video stream to display based on the size of the viewing tile and if digital zoom is in use.

Generic plug-ins to third party systems provide simplified integration and reduced cost of deployment.

Global 24 x 7 single-point-of-contact support for all products and applications supported by SITA.
