AIRCOM Cockpit Voice Services
Talk to the cockpit crew with this real-time satellite communication voice service
A satellite communication voice service is most useful when dealing with unplanned, low-probability but high-cost events. These events have a high potential negative financial impact from aircraft diversions, flight cancellation and re-scheduling.
Satellite AIRCOM Cockpit Voice provides routine and backup services for pilot communications with air traffic services (ATS) and aeronautical operational communications (AOC).
Overview
AIRCOM Cockpit Voice Services is part of the Aeronautical Mobile Satellite Service (AMSS). It provides worldwide coverage for secure, real-time, high-quality cockpit voice communication.
Ideally used as a complement to AIRCOM Cockpit Datalink Services, satellite communications using AIRCOM Cockpit Voice enables real-time discussion in unplanned or urgent situations that are too difficult to manage via data link. Pilots and controllers can speak directly to each other without having to go through an HF radio operator.
