Air Transport eXchange (ATeX)
Reliable transport for mission-critical exchanges
Air Transport eXchange (ATeX) is an extranet designed to meet the air transport community's need for high-performance, high-quality, secure, communications between trading partners worldwide.
Overview
Air Transport eXchange (ATeX) is a high-speed, high-performance IP extranet that lets SITA customers exchange data with partners in the air transport and associated industries. It is based on SITA’s IP VPN.
Based on the TCP/IP suite of protocols, ATeX offers the capabilities of an “open” Internet service, but with the end-to-end management, flexibility and security required for corporate communications.
Airlines can use ATeX to access detailed technical information and diagrams from airframe or engine manufacturers in real time.
Access is instant and secure, reducing the time and expense involved in dissemination of this information on paper, microfilm or aperture cards.
