Weight and Balance is a new module of SITA's Departure Control Services. This next-generation load planning tool provides a GUI-based framework for all the functionality to safely load and dispatch an aircraft, including all legally required documentation, for both airlines and ground handlers.
To safely define and optimize the operating parameters for each flight, Weight and Balance uses a mixture of aircraft technical data, messaging and information on:
- Passengers
- Baggage
- Fuel
- Cargo
Weight and Balance uses service-oriented architecture on an open systems platform. Customers are able to optimize aircraft payloads through manual or automatic calculations and operational load control and message generation.

Weight and Balance features
This system fully supports International Air Transport Association (IATA) standards. It follows IATA recommended practices that govern acceptance of operational data by load control systems and provides automated load distribution for any aircraft type.
