Strategy for Success (S4S)
SITA's annual "Strategy for Success" (S4S) seminar for airlines and airports was held 29-30 September 2010 in St. Petersburg, Russia. The event focused on IT development in the new decade. Leading companies shared their experiences implementing SITA solutions in Russia and other CIS countries, as well as in countries around the world.
Ilya Burkin, SITA Director of Sales in Russia and the CIS, said, "We're delighted that our seminar has brought together representatives of the leading air transport enterprises in both Russia and the CIS countries. Our dialogue with representatives of leading airports and airline companies has enabled us to hear their opinions and suggestions for creating solutions that will best meet our clients' needs. We plan to continue this current tradition by regularly holding meetings like this one, both to share experience and to present our latest projects."
The 2010 S4S covered two areas:
- Solutions for airline companies
- Solutions for airports
Solutions for airline companies included a platform for servicing SITA Horizon passengers and passenger self check-in technologies. The seminar also included discussion of industry-wide issues involving the current economic situation and prospects for IT development in the industry.
Solutions for airports included:
- Operation-support systems and improving airport process flows
- Systems integration
- Creating a complex high-technology airline infrastructure
