Best Airport IT Service Provider 2013 - EMAA Awards

SITA was named the "Best Airport IT Service Provider" in the Emerging Markets Airports Awards (EMAA), 9 April in Abu Dhabi. The award recognizes SITA for its "Intelligent Airport" concept, as well as its tailored solutions for regional airports and for using integrated IT solutions which play a crucial role in optimizing airport processes. This marks the third time SITA has received an EMAA as Best IT Service Provider. The company received the same award in 2010 and 2011. The EMAA awards distinguish excellence in 23 categories of airport operations and of professionals from the emerging markets of the Middle East, Africa, the Indian subcontinent, Russia and the CIS states.

SITA and Malaysia Airlines scoop CAPA IT innovation awardCAPA - Centre for Aviation today declared SITA and Malaysia Airlines the joint winners of the inaugural 'IT Innovation of the Year 2011' award. This top award is granted to the company that has established an effective industry model to deliver innovative IT solutions and recognizes the success of the airline working with SITA's strategic technology research arm, SITA Lab, to deliver true innovation.

Malaysia Airlines and SITA Lab were the first to introduce kiosks to sell airline tickets using the Apple iPad, as well as an augmented reality application for the Apple iPhone which allows customers to get the best airline deals from nearby airports.

For the second time in three years, SITA has received a Frost & Sullivan Aerospace & Defense Award, highlighting the strength of SITA's position as the preferred IT solutions provider for airports in the Asia Pacific region, which handle over 1.2 billion passengers and are experiencing 4.9% annual growth. IATA Director General & CEO Giovanni Bisignani presents SITA CEO Francesco Violante with Partnership Appreciation Award at IATA's 66th Annual AGM in Berlin, 8 June 2010.In appreciation of SITA's continuing strong partnership with the airline community, and its support of the 66th Annual General Meeting of the International Air Transport Association (IATA). Award was presented to SITA CEO Francesco Violante by IATA Director General & CEO Giovanni Bisignani.

The award recognizes SITA's mobile platform currently being deployed with TAP Maintenance & Engineering (M&E), the leading Portuguese airline carrier.
