SITA and IATA - working together for a more efficient air transport industry
Over 600 representatives from IATA's Member Airlines, Industry Associate partners, international and regional associations, leading manufacturers and industry suppliers attended the recent IATA AGM held in Berlin from 6-8 June 2010.
SITA, as the co-sponsor, presented a joint Simplifying the Business showcase with IATA, featuring an interactive demonstration of a seamless, hassle-free travel experience across the 14 steps of the passenger journey, from check-in to baggage collection.
In addition to the joint showcase, SITA also featured Horizon - a complete passenger management portfolio that provides solutions to growing airlines in four key areas:
During the event, IATA Director General & CEO Giovanni Bisignani presented SITA CEO Francesco Violante with an award in appreciation of SITA's continuing strong partnership with the airline community, as well as SITA's support of the IATA AGM.
In addition, SITA received an award celebrating 20 years of strategic partnerships.
