Ian Riddell

Senior Vice President, Corporate and Technology Services

Ian Riddell assumed his current role of Senior Vice President, Corporate and Technology Services in early 2009.

Ian's primary responsibility is to provide oversight and leadership to a broad portfolio of functions including Corporate Services, Information Services, Corporate Information Security Office, Program Management Office and the Advanced Technology Office, under which SITA's innovative SITA Lab resides.

Additionally, since 2006 Ian has retained responsibility for SITA's strategic change programs, ensuring best practices are applied across the organization and including a major, prominent cost reduction initiative. His responsibilities also cover enhancing the relationship with the Board, Members and Certificate Holders.

Ian joined SITA in 2001 from Cathay Pacific Airways in Hong Kong, where he led the Information Management and e-Business functions. During this time he was Chairman of SITA's Board of Directors, and a Board Member.

An Australian national, Ian commenced his career with Qantas Airways Limited in the finance function before moving to IT and the role of Chief Information Officer.

Ian has been a regular speaker at international conferences.

He is currently based in Geneva, Switzerland.
