Flying into the future
Every year SITA publishes the results of four industry research initiatives, tracking technology trends in the air transport industry. These initiatives track not only the opinions of senior industry executives, but also probably the most important stakeholder of all: the passenger.
Our four annual initiatives provide SITA the unique ability to combine perspectives of airlines, airports and passengers, identifying areas of alignment, misalignment, and potential for acceleration.
This year, for the first time, SITA has combined the findings of our research initiatives into one report: Flying into the future. From the findings, it is clear that by 2015:
- The way we buy travel products will change
- Self-service will come of age, providing passengers greater control over their journeys
- Smart phones and social media will dominate passenger interactions for customer service
- Higher quality business and customer intelligence will be essential
Read the report to learn what these changes will mean for the industry.
