Embracing passenger mobility to provide convenience on the move

As a global carrier, Malaysia Airlines understands the importance of embracing new technologies to ensure our passengers enjoy seamless service. To accomplish this, we made a strategic decision to partner with SITA Lab to develop a mobile application which would go beyond anything that exists on the market today.

We did not want to simply miniaturize our Web site for use on mobile phones. We wanted instead to create an offering based on one Web application, one link and one click with no download required. Our mobile services had to work well on all Web-enabled mobile phones.

SITA Lab delivered on these requirements with flymas.mobi. We are very satisfied with the result.

flymas.mobi offers the most comprehensive menu of mobile phone functionality available to airline passengers anywhere in the world. The complexity is hidden behind an interface that is friendly and very easy to use.

Passengers can book and hold their flights, and pay for them, via their mobile devices. They can receive a 2D boarding pass after check-in. They can check flight status and timetable. If a bag is delayed, it can be reported and traced using flymas.mobi. We can also directly offer travellers special mobile deals based on their actual location.

So our customers can now book, buy or fly with Malaysia Airlines anywhere and at anytime, just as long as they have a Web-enabled mobile phone.

flymas.mobi is a very exciting and promising development - for Malaysia Airlines and for our customers.
