SITA to provide Airport Systems Integration at Kharkov Airport for Euro 2012

When Ukraine hosts the UEFA football tournament, Euro 2012, Kharkov International Airport expects to handle up to 1,000 fans per hour during peak periods. To help manage this traffic, SITA will provide the Airport's new terminal with fully integrated IT systems in which all applications will run on a common network infrastructure--including check-in, boarding, baggage management, security and access control. Both airlines and passengers will benefit from the new shared IT infrastructure, which will reduce costs and remove bottlenecks for passengers. The new system will be up and running in Summer 2010.

It is designed to continue delivering high-quality passenger services as the airport continues to grow significantly.

Lufthansa now stands ready to introduce CUPPS at any airport in the world when IATA officially releases CUPPS in November.

In August, SITA became the first platform provider to win CUPPS compliance and is currently the only Compliance Testing Entity. SITA is currently working with several airlines to test their applications to ensure CUPPS readiness.
