Catherine Mayer, SITA Vice President, Airport ServicesCatherine Mayer was appointed VP Airport Services, SITA, in 2003 and is responsible for developing and leading the Airport Services solution line. In this role, Catherine focuses on strategy, product marketing, industry relations and implementation, customer satisfaction and improving the business to ensure SITA continues to meet the needs of the ever-changing air transport industry.

Additionally, Catherine is the primary liaison for SITA with airport industry organisations, ensuring SITA's availability and support for committees, conferences and industry missions. She is an active participant in Airports Council International (ACI), including serving as Chairman of the ACI World Business Partners Board (2006/2007) and becoming the first non-Airport member to be appointed as an observer to the ACI World Governing Board (2006/2007). Catherine has also served as a member of the North American Airport Board of Directors and remains active with International Air Transport Association (IATA) airport working committees, American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE), United States Security committees, Airport Consultants Council (ACC), and International Aviation Women's Association (IAWA).

Catherine is responsible for developing customer and industry partnerships as part of SITA's commercial focus in the global airport industry and she will continue to work closely with industry organizations to influence international and national legislation, rules, policies, standards and practices on behalf of the airport industry.

Before joining SITA, Catherine was director of marketing at ARINC for five years, where she was responsible for launching the airport division. Catherine has 15 years of airport operations experience with Groupe Air France and Mexicana Airlines as well as ten years of experience working concurrently with the San Francisco International Airport, co-ordinating the international terminal gate resources and representing the airport at the IATA Schedule and Co-ordination Conferences.

Her unique understanding, vast experience and worldwide contacts with both international and domestic airports and airlines are what enable her to contribute a unique perspective to SITA and to the aviation industry.
