CAPA Airlines in transition - a CEO dialogue

SITA was pleased to be a gold sponsor of 'Airlines in transition - a CEO dialogue', organized by the Centre for Aviation (CAPA) and Airline Leader. Featuring a CEO forum, the event brought together full-service airlines, low-cost carriers (LCCs) and hybrids to create new partnership models as they evolve strategically and technologically.

Topics included:

• The convergence of LLC and full-service models in different regions
• The course of liberalization, mergers and acquisitions, and the role of global alliances
• How IT is opening new avenues for operations and cooperation between full-service and low-cost airlines
• The effectiveness of dual brands and low-cost subsidiaries
• Regional variations and Asia's impact on global aviation

Ilya Gutlin, President, Asia Pacific, and until recently Vice President, Airport Solution Line, represented SITA on the high-calibre speaker panel, which focused on the subject of 'Working with airports and IT solution providers'.
