e-Fuel community programme with IATA

IATA Fuel Data Standards Group and Work Plan

• IATA created an eFuel group in 2006 to define Extensible Markup Language (XML) messages for various fuelling activities
• The work group will create a recommended process to facilitate automation
• Most of the major oil companies are represented in the work group
• Airline representation is limited to Lufthansa and Northwest
• An invoice schema is available, fuelling plan, order, delivery, delivery notice, and delivery notice ticket are under work
