SITA and Airservices Australia

A strategic alliance tailored for airspace surveillance

Airservices Australia and SITA have set up a strategic partnership to market Automatic Dependent Surveillance Broadcast (ADS-B) services to the air navigation service providers in the Asia-Pacific region. The partnership is a response to a 2006 decision by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) that ADS-B be introduced into the region.

Airservices Australia is the first air navigation service provider in the world to deploy ADS-B for operational use. Combined with SITA's 25-plus years of experience delivering global data link services, the partnership provides air navigation providers a compelling service-based option for rapidly introducing ADS-B enabled airspace surveillance.

SITA and Flight Explorer

A strategic alliance delivering enhanced flight monitoring

SITA and Flight Explorer, the US market leader in flight monitoring applications, entered into a partnership to provide airlines with AIRCOM Flight Sentry Display, an enhanced flight monitoring tool.

By displaying aircraft position in real-time on a globe or on a Mercator map, AIRCOM Server's powerful AIRCOM Flight Sentry Display improves flight awareness. AIRCOM Flight Sentry Display alerts users about abnormal conditions that can impact flight sentry.

AIRCOM Flight Sentry Display is a customized version of the Flight Explorer Professional application, the leading flight tracking tool used by 85% of US carriers. It is a new module of AIRCOM Server and AIRCOM Service Bureau products, replacing the current AIRCOM Server Aircraft Situation Display module that was developed in-house by SITA.

SITA and Motorola

A strategic partnership to deliver a complete Mobile Workforce Solution

SITA and Motorola have joined forces to launch a new generation mobile workforce solution that will enable airlines, airports and other service providers to mobilize their staff worldwide in a cost-effective manner.

SITA Mobile Workforce removes on the ground, static, paper-based processes and provides real-time data to reduce business costs, automate workflow management, improve staff flexibility, better manage disruption and improve customer service.

Using a single Motorola handheld device for all applications, a duty manager can perform up to five aircraft turnarounds simultaneously - a significant improvement on the present "norm" of one turnaround per manager. Real-time data communication reduces the chance of human error which occurs with dependence on voice communication and paperwork. In addition, the increased flexibility in mobilizing the workforce enables better disruption management while tracking activity of both the workforce and equipment.
