Arthur Calderwood Senior Vice President, Marketing & Sales Operations

Arthur Calderwood has been a member of SITA’s leadership team since 2006, and has held his current position since 2012.


During that time, he has progressively expanded his role to lead an organization responsible for formulating and executing SITA’s global marketing and sales transformation strategy covering brand, media relations, digital and content marketing, customer engagement programs and sales operations management.

Arthur was the architect behind SITA’s awarding-wining ‘Create Success. Together’ brand strategy, which successfully repositioned the SITA brand. Since 2006, he has chaired SITA’s Customer Advisory Board, developing it into a valuable listening post and pathfinder for SITA’s strategic direction.

Arthur has also taken a leading role in strengthening SITA’s sales capabilities. This has included championing the creation of SITA’s sales transformation program, which equips the company’s extended global sales team with the knowledge, skills and tools to drive growth. The program was recognized at the highest level when it won a Diamond Award at the ITMSA Marketing Excellence Awards in 2015.

In total, Arthur has more than 25 years of senior management experience in sales and marketing, with the last 15 years in the aviation industry. Before, joining SITA in 2000, he held several UK and   European management positions in marketing and business development for major technology companies, including BT, IBM, Digital Equipment Corporation and Compaq Computer.

A Scottish native, Arthur holds a BA in Business Studies, a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing and has been a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing since 1999.

Arthur is based in Geneva, Switzerland.
