Cooperating with the Moscow State Technical University of Civil Aviation
In 2015, SITA completed its first full year of a cooperative initiative with Moscow State Technical University of Civil Aviation (MSTUCA). Our contributions include expert lectures and collateral material for students, giving real world insights into the workings of our industry. Several students have prepared final coursework based on SITA data and it is clear from student feedback and queries that interest in the program is high and increasing.
SITA shares in common with MSTUCA the goals of supporting the development of civil aviation in Russia, creating community value and building awareness of SITA and its solutions among future air transport specialists. The training of highly qualified personnel in civil aviation is a priority for the entire global air transport community and requires close attention of all industry stakeholders.
Our cooperative program with MSTUCA was formalized on 3 March 2016 with a visit by SITA Europe President, Dave Bakker and the signing of a formal agreement with MSTUCA Rector, Professor Boris Eliseev. As part of his visit, Dave Bakker presented a lecture to students and faculty members dedicated to the history of SITA and current industry IT trends. After the lecture Dave Bakker was awarded the diploma of Honorary Professor of MSTUCA.
